Jan began college in Greeley Colorado and completed her degrees at The University of California in Long Beach. She retired from teaching in Orange County California. Her husband, Ron also retired as a teacher and Athletic director. Jan is also survived by three married children, Michelle, Jon & Ryan. Jan was a cancer survivor of over twenty years. Jan had an older sister Jeanne(deceased) and a brother Bill Riley (59 HHS) Jan loved traveling and had visited all but 3 of the 50 states. She and Ron and their son Ryan maintain an incredible garden complete with collectibles from their travels. They have opened their home several years for a foundation garden tour. Visitors loved the tour and always left with a home grown plant.
