Roy Lynn Suddarth passed away from cancer peacefully on July 30th, 2008. He was born in Fayette, MO on March 20th, 1947.That same year his family moved to Colorado Springs. Roy enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1968 where he served honorably until 1972. Roy built a career in the construction trade.At the time of his death he was a valued employee for John Laing Homes. He leaves one son, Brenden Roy, a daughter, Shelby Noelle, the Mother of his children, Jean, three grandchildren, Jefferson Waters, Spencer Coletrain, & Jacob Brenden Roy, niece and nephews, Nola, Nick and John and brother, David. He was preceded in death by Father, Roy, Mother, Emma Jane, and sister, Ann. A service is scheduled to welcome all whose lives were touched by this Son, Brother, Father, Grandfather, and Friend.An informal gathering will be held at 3:00 p.m. on the 17th of August at The Springs Funeral Services, located at 3115 E. Platte Ave. Contributions are welcomed and requested to be each contributor's choice.A special tribute will be conducted at the service by Veterans in appreciation of Roy's contribution to his country's pursuit for freedom. - Legacy (Gazette)
