Matt and I were close friends from 7th grade at Carmel through our Junior year at HHS. Matt was a fun person to hang out with and even hooked a huge pike at Quail lake in 1985, when I told him he had a snag.... We got into trouble together and we hardly talked afterward. Know this; he loved his parents and did everything he could to not disappoint them. I was shocked to learn of his passing from other friends the day I returned from Desert Storm. His friendship meant a great deal to me, we just drifted apart.....
I wish the best to his family. I knew his dad who I would talk to at the post office years after, and I saw them a couple times after I moved back to CO. I feel they knew there was more going on with him but it doesnt ease the pain of it all. I wish the best for you all, and know that I miss him as a friend,,,,,,,rest in peace, Matt!
