Bill was a very smart guy. An accomplished Engineer. He got his degrees from CU Boulder. Skipped his senior year at Harrison to go to Purdue. Spent time in the Navy and then went back to school in Boulder. Had a career with several defense contractors. He was working for Raytheon in Arizona at the time of his sudden passing. Bill was a devoted family man. He had a fantastic sense of humor to go along with his intelligence. Bill played football and wrestled at Harrison. Bill's death was unexpected. He and I had plans to get together after his retirement but Bill never quite made it. Bill was a great guy! Bill always had fond memories of his years in the Harrison School District.

Frederic Stephens (1964)

Bill also participated as a tuba player in the Harrison band. He really enjoyed Mr. Frame  in the music department. Bill was an adventurer after high school. Between Purdue, the Navy, and CU he spent a year on Fletcher's  ice island 900 miles north of Point Barrow Alaska working for the Office of Naval Research. Bill was a great husband, father , brother , uncle and friend. A bunch of engineers attended Bill's memorial service in Denver. I have never been in a place with so many very smart people. We will always miss Bill. A wonderful, smart, loving, caring, funny man. Love you Bill.  Your brother Fred.
