Teresita Smith passed away at the age of 72 on Monday December 20, 2021 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her loving mother Cristeta Tubac, brother Gene P. Tubac and father Galo D. Tubac. Pink or Pinky, as she was affectionately called by her family, is survived by her husband Terry L. Smith whom she was deeply devoted to for 52 years. Her children whom she loved so much, Jennifer R. Bousquet (Jerry), Christina L. Pitts (Jason), Joseph E. Smith. Her grandchildren Tre A. Pitts and Sybastian D. Bousquet. Her brother’s Greg Tubac (Karen), George Tubac and Gilbert Tubac (Sandra). Her nieces Adriann Bergman (Justin), Valentina Tubac (Kevin Reger), Gina Tubac (Chad), Rachel Middlemiss(Matt), Aliscia Tubac, her nephews Jason Tubac(Elizabeth) and Chase Tubac. Her extended family Aunt Carmelita Yapit(Pete), many cousins and extended family. Teresita was born at Ft. William McKinley hospital in the Philippines to Galo D. and Cristeta Tubac. The family moved to the United States while her father was serving in the US military. In 1957 she endured open heart surgery at Fitzsimmons Army hospital in Denver. She was 8 years old at the time. Her family became permanent residents in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She graduated from Harrison High school in 1967 and Blair business college. Teresita met the love of her life and married Terry L. Smith in 1969. They raised their three children in Pueblo and Colorado Springs. Teresita was an office clerk with Mervyns and Macy for over 30 years where she retired. Her faith in God was a foundation in her life. She loved her pets dearly. She is known for her love and devotion to her family, children and grandchildren. Her life was a fountain of love and encouragement to everyone. She was a faithful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
