I had someone come up to me at work the other day (I won't mention names) and say, "Hey David, Do you remember me, I was" so and so's friend? I replied, "Why does it have to be" so and so's friend? "You use to be mine." I guess when you loose touch with people they forget who you were or tried to be. But of course I find it easier and happier to remember people as they were in those days. Young and full of ambition. Lately trying to reconnect with "old" friends who can't remember the times spent together but do want to sell you a car or Amway products. It is very depressing, so lets raise a cup to days gone by. After graduating I had no idea what college or how to go about getting into college, thanks HHS counselors. Ended up doing pre-med at UCCS but after three years as a medic in the Army Reserve I realized medicine was barbaric and trying to work a full time job and go to school was not working out either. Had to change my major three times, Was at UCCS for four years and then got my commissioned in the Army during that time. Was on the Army reserve rolls for 19 years, 51 weeks, give or take. Been working retail in one form or another for most of my life, mostly as management. Finally got married in 2004, my daughter was born in 2006.
