Not exactly an award but I had PERFECT ATTENDANCE in auto shop my senior year. That's right, spent lunch hour doing what we did in the blue van but always made it to Auto shop. All my classmates were amazed and so was Mr. Smart. I only wish I paid more attention in his class because he knew a ton. But, I wasn't very focused (see 'blue van') and that didn't help.

After graduation I was a minimum wage bum. I didn't think very highly of myself and figured I'd be a bum my whole life. Then I figured things out and joined the Air Force. Served for 26 years as a flight crew member and loved my career. Tried to pursue flying after my career but got grounded. Attended an automotive program and became an automotive technician. Now I teach automotive repair and love that job too.
Married once but single now. Living in Colorado Spring now and so glad I moved back here. Happy and healthy here.
