What happened to Coach Richard Valdez? Why did the GOLD get removed from our school colors?

My daughter also graduated from Harrison. I was one of only a few that would sing the Fight Song out loud and new all the words!

I remember the bonfires and scrambling for wood. Our class won! I also remember that our colors were black, white and GOLD. While we didnt win alot of football games and the old wooden bleachers were hard, that old field was the best. Moving from the old High School to the new was exciting, and we were all in awe at having a brand new shiny school.
