After giving birth to my son, I began my continuing education, receiving first my Child Development Associate and Director Qualification in 1989, followed by an Associates of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education in 1995, and in 2005 graduated with my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education with a Licensure in Elementary Education. I have been employed with Community Partnership for Child Development/Head Start for the past 19 years. I am also associated and collaborate with Harrison School District Two in that I teach 2 nights a week within it's Harrison Adult and Family Education Literacy Program. I am also employed with School District 11 and do the same thing for them 2 nights a week in their Family Literacy Program; this is in addition to my regular full time classroom duties with Head Start. You can find me teaching during the day at Stratton Meadows Elementary where I have been in a lead teaching position for the past 13 years. I grew up in Harrison School District Two and more specifically in the Stratton Meadows neighborhood where I continue to reside today. I attended Stratton Meadows Elementary from kindergarten through sixth grade and I pride myself in the fact that I have had the privledge and honor to teach along side many of my former elementary school teachers such as Mrs. Rombeck, Mrs. Knutson, and Mrs Quesenberry. (Anyone remember Mrs. Skelton our gym teacher? The new gym at Stratton Meadows is dedicated to her and her name hangs on the wall. I smile to myself everytime I am in the gym with my own students in her memory.) I have also had the honor of watching Mrs. Rombeck, Mrs. Knutson and Mrs. Quesenberry, retire from this very fine school district and see myself doing the very same and having the very fullfilling and proud feeling of knowing that we have made a difference in the lives of children and families who reside within the boundaries of Harrison School District Two. Harrison School District Two and it sourrounding community have always been the heart and soul of who I have become and I cherish all my memories and can't wait to see how Harrison School District Two will impact the rest of my life. I know that it will continue to bring me happiness. Long Live Harrison High School and Harrison School District Two.
